You may have noticed……around all day, as with us, stretching feels good, and helps release tightness in muscles and joints that may have stiffened after injuries, surgery or a long period of inactivity.

Stretching is great for older dogs, with or without arthritis, as they are not as agile as they used to be, and will greatly benefit from a few simple stretches.

During this dog stretching video, I am sharing some techniques that you can safely do at home:

  • Forelimb stretches……. triceps
  • Hind limb stretches including knee, thigh, hock, hip and toes, and
  • Spinal stretch and rotation.

If you are not comfortable or confident doing these techniques please seek further advice, otherwise…

Enjoy!
